While working at a fortune 500 companies 5yrs ago, I was a part of the data
analytics team and we used the Adobe Omniture Web Analytics to measure the
Day part (did user visit during the day or
Adobe had acquired Omniture as part of their solution for building what
is now the Adobe Marketing Cloud.
At the time, Adobe Analytics
allowed you to see the metrics for above listed variables, while Google Analytics allowed you to see-
keywords, search terms, traffic referrals.
It seemed at the time that Adobe was setting the marketing cloud pace
and Google was the follower.
Fast forward 5 years later, Adobe Marketing Cloud and Google almost
neck and neck. I have compiled a chart to show the apparent gabs in each option/strategy (see below).
The main difference is probably cost. I haven’t used all the features for each lately,
but it seems Google Analytics Solutions might be more affordable than Adobe
Marketing Suite. Let me know which one you choose and the respective costs.
