Unfortunately there is no way to do this. Ad Espresso works at the campaign level. I had a similar question and this is what there support team told me.
When using Ad Espresso to create Facebook ads, how do I create a variation of an existing ad?
I can "copy" campaigns and tweak them ad infinitum but I don't see a way to do this for individual ads
