Here are a few of the most popular price tracking tools - let’s see how they stack up against each other.
Prisync
Prisync tracks both your competitors’ prices and the inventory levels they have on hand. The dashboard offers an attractive at-a-glance breakdown of the information you need. A useful pie chart shows you exactly where you stack up.
You’ll get emails about price changes every day, and can track as many companies as you want. However, you’ll pay depending on how many individual products you want to track. The three pricing options range from Professional ($49 a month for 100 products) to Premium ($119 for 1,000 products) to Platinum ($209 for 5,000 products).
2. Incompetitor
This platform analyzes your competition’s prices in real time. The dashboard allows you to look at overviews of pricing trends, so you can make decisions accordingly. It offers data mining and analysis of trends, so you can not just use the information to set prices but also to decide what to sell.
Interestingly, though, this option doesn’t make their own pricing available - you’ll need to contact the brand to get a quote. And, as the saying goes, if you have to ask how much it costs, it probably costs too much.
3. Price2Spy
Price2Spy also acquires the data you need and puts it together to offer you a complete picture of competitor pricing. You can view historical data as well as current price comparisons, and it also has an email alert option. You can even set this software to automatically change your prices when your competitors change theirs.
This option offers perhaps the widest range of pricing. You can get the most basic plan for $19.95 a month, while the largest premium plan costs $999.95 a month. Again, pricing depends on how many individual products you want to track.
4. Competera
Competera might be the most popular competitor price tracking tool right now.
This platform actually uses the data it gathers to give you pricing recommendations. It will tell you how changing the price of one product might affect the sales of another product. It also syncs with some of the most popular ecommerce platforms, such as Shopify.
You can subscribe to Competera and get everything it has to offer for $114 a month.
Each of these options has its own benefits - and there are more tracking methods to choose from out there. For most companies, though, Competera will be the best bet. It offers a lot of bang for your buck, doesn’t charge more based on the number of products you track, and streamlines the user experience by offering custom recommendations based on data.
However, if you only want to track a few competitor items, choose a number-based subscription model like Price2Spy to save some money instead.
