Shopify actually syncs nicely with a Facebook store, so you can promote your products in both places. For a monthly fee (starting at $9), you’ll get Shopify’s support in opening an integrated Facebook Shop page.
This option also allows you to auto-transfer your product information from Shopify to Facebook.
Shopify itself notes that almost two out of every three visits from social media to Shopify stores come from Facebook.
Facebook also gives them about 85 percent of their social media orders. Interestingly, Facebook’s conversion rate is also higher than that of other social media sites, at almost two percent.
Essentially, if you have a Facebook store that’s linked to your Shopify store, there’s no real difference between the two. Your Facebook store won’t necessarily reap the benefits of organic traffic for free, since there are lots of competitors also trying to pull users’ attention.
However, you might see more conversions if people don’t have to click away from Facebook to shop. Shopify recognizes this value and offers an easy way to open a Facebook Shop page, and many ecommerce merchants have taken advantage of this opportunity for good reason.
