You will get customers for sure but now the fees are even higher and sellers have revolted. see this:

Etsy's leadership says the increased fees help market the platform to effectively compete with Amazon and so in theory, you should get even more customers once the extra fees are put to work:
But nothing should stop you from selling on both Shopify and Etsy. If you are concerned about fees, the Shopify plugins quickly add up in cost and WooCommerce may be a better option.
