While Yoast SEO is useful for SEO, ultimately it is just a tool--makes it easier to do technical SEO and on-page optimization. You still need to do the work of producing high quality content and getting other sites to back-link to you, both of which take time.
Yoast will not magically get you organic traffic, nor should you expect major results for at least a year. If Yoast SEO is the only reason to move from Shopify, I say do not!
