How did Amazon become so much more valuable than Ebay?
I've been pondering this recently as Amazon is now worth almost 30 times as much as Ebay and yet in the early 2000s Ebay was worth 3 times as much as Amazon. Back then Ebay was considered the better company as it was wildly profitable and didn't hold inventory (something seen as a negative)
