Answer Question
Can someone point me to some lesser-known direct-to-consumer case studies?
(not Warby Parker or Dollar Shave Club, the examples everyone cites). E.g. How an established brand in the brick and mortar space built a direct-to-consumer ecommerce channel. I know these would be hard to find but if there are any they would be super useful. Both failures and successess.
For example, I know Starbucks tried and failed and then shut down their ecommerce store, except for gift cards
