Do celebrity endorsements actually sell more products?
We market an apparel line in Indonesia that is doing well. To get to the next level we are considering paying a major national celebrity to endorse our products. I'd like to hear from people who have direct experience doing this kind of thing. Did you notice a measurable uptick in sales after the endorsement?
In our case we are thinking of raising prices to help pay for the endorsement. Should we do this? Or just hope that the potential increased sales volume will make up for it?
