Which has a higher conversion rate: A single long ecommerce checkout form or a multi-step one?
I've seen both used and I was wondering which type produces a higher conversion rate. From a usability standpoint, presenting a few fields at time is better but I am also aware of the 'funnel drop off' effect--as you add more steps to the funnel people drop out at each point, which would reduce the number of eventual buyers.
