Hey! This is an important question. One of the biggest mistakes businesses make is that they are ALWAYS selling on social media—always talking about their product or service. In today’s digital age, there’s a lot greater opportunity to build relationships with customers, so I highly suggest against always talking about products, services, and offers. Instead, mix it up. Create related content that is relevant, interesting, informative, and/or entertaining for your customer or potential customer.
For example, I founded a subscription box for baby brain development. My target demographic was new moms. Instead of just posting pictures of my product all the time, I offered related content: articles about parenting and child development, adorable baby photos and videos, interviews of new moms, etc.
I talked about my product on social media 1-2x max on social media. Otherwise it was just content to help New moms.
